Hello, thanks for visiting my auction. This is a '79 Chevy pickup that has had a lot of customizing done to it, unfortunately the motor went south so it is not running. I just don't have the means to put a motor in it, and the city has started giving me grief for it sitting on the street, so it has to go. I was building it as a kustom 50s style lead sled truck. It has a 250 inline six in it, but there is no compression. I knew it was getting tired and I hoped to find another motor to put in it, but I couldn't get it done. Putting in a small block would be an easy job for a person who likes to tinker. It has a turbo 350 automatic transmission that was rebuilt by Walker transmissions and it has just over 15,000 miles on it. The truck has factory power steering and power brakes. It was my daily driver for over 5 years until a few months ago. Everything on the truck works--lights, signals, heater, etc. There is no radio. The suspension has been airbagged by Crazy Rick at Krazy Kreations in Westminster, Colorado. It has Firestone bags, 6 SMC 3/8 valves, and a 5 gallon tank. It has two switches for up and down, front and back. Right now it is running on only one compressor. I had a second one go bad and I was planning on doing a tune-up so to speak on the system, but since the motor went bad I'll leave that up to the new owner. The compressors are Viair 280cs, but only one is working. It does the job ok, but the tank recovery time is a little slow. The air tank is looking tired--cheap Tiawan chrome I guess. It looks bad but still does the job fine. The system is virtually leak free, but all air ride will leak a little. I have a kustom painted 5 gallon tank that is in House of Kolor Kandy Green with tons of flake. It is new and has never been installed. If the winning bidder wants, for an ADDITIONAL $200.00 ABOVE the final price I will include it in the sale of the truck. I have included a picture of it with the pictures of the truck. The whole front suspension was replaced about 3 years ago--including new Bell Tech dropped spindles, bushings, rotors, brake lines, calipers, etc. Upper and lower A-arms as well as the spindles were powder coated black. The front suspension has about 17,500 miles on it. In the back the truck has a 4-link and the frame has been notched about 4 inches. The front tires are a little weak and will need to be replaced soon. It is running on 205x70x15 tires. I will include one near new tire that is not mounted on a rim. There is also an old bias-ply tire on a wheel for the spare in the bed. The truck doesn't lay frame, but it is close. Aside from the engine, the running gear is pretty much done. The body has been modified quite a bit. There are over 600 hours of body mods in it so far. It has shaved door handles with solenoids and both doors open with a remote. The side markers, tailgate, stock elephant ear mirrors and taillights are shaved, too. It has '46 Chevy taillights frenched in the rear and the tailgate is louvered. It has a kustom rear bumper with mesh and bullets, and a frenched antenna. It has fiberglass skirts on it and molded and frenched lakes pipes that are not hooked up. It has real Unity spotlights. The truck is in light green suede. It has a few small rust spots, but nothing too major. One is toward the bottom of the passenger side door, the other is on the driver's side just behind the rear wheel well, and there is a hole in the driver's side floor board that is approximately 7 inches square. There is also a small dent in the driver's side front fender from a hit and run at work. It is pretty minor, but the fender will have to be fixed not replaced because the front fenders are molded to the rocker panels with the lake pipes. None of it would be that difficult to repair. I have included pictures of these areas. It also has a light bit of surface rust on the tailgate that could be fixed by sanding it down and giving it a fresh coat of suede. The truck still has the factory paint on the hood and roof with some slight fading on it down to the factory primer. I was going to get the hood louvered and flake the roof, but time got away from me. The roof has the old patina look that everybody seems to want nowadays. Most of this is because the truck sits outside and is driven all year round. A new coat of suede would do wonders. I have lots of extra parts to go with it including all the chrome for around the headlights and grill, window regulators, vent glass, etc. Thr interior is pretty much stock, but is in decent shape. The seat has a Mexican blanket on it. The seat itself has a few seams coming apart , but it is not too far gone. It could be recovered or leave as is. The seat is very comfortable and there are no big holes or springs sticking through. The dash has the full factory gauges with white faces on them. All the gauges work. The dash does have a few cracks in it, but it still looks presentable. The odometer shows 100,814, but I don't know how many hundred thousands it is. The truck showed about 72,000 miles on it when I bought it in '03. It may have been 172,000, or 272,000, but who knows for sure. It has a louvered glove box door and tear drop knobs scattered throughout the interior. It has the factory intermittent wiper system in it. I replaced the windshield about a year ago and it has no cracks or chips. There is also a seafoam green floormat from the 50s that matches the green suede on the outside of the truck pretty well. Under that is the factory rubber floormat. The truck is a Scottsdale model which was about the bottom of the line back in '79. I hate to sell it, but that's the way things go. I have well over $12000.00 dollars in it, but my loss is your gain. It does need some work, but it could be a fun project for you to hit the car shows in next spring. It does have a reserve, but it is no where near what I have in the truck. I may go ahead and sell if it gets close to the reserve, so bid high and bid often and you might be the proud new owner! This truck is being sold AS-IS. I will sell to out-of-state buyers, but all shipping arrangements and fees are to be paid by the buyer. I can however help your transport service get the truck loaded. A $1500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end via Paypal. The balance is due within 3 days of auction end and can be paid by Paypal, certified check, money order or direct deposit. I will not release the truck to be shipped until all funds have cleared. Of course, if you are picking it up yourself, cash would be wonderful. If you have any additional questions, or if you are local and want to come by and take a look, feel free to give me a call and set up a time. 303-274-9415. Thank you!
