The thought of selling this car is quite disturbing to me, but it must be done. With the acquisition of two new car I find myself with a shortage of space in my “Garagemahall”. Let me say that I love this car, and the way it makes me feel. Every time I get behind the wheel of this thing it makes me smile. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s one of my favorite movies was American Graffiti. Every time I’m behind the wheel I feel like John Milner must of felt in his 32. This 1966 El Camino comes with endless smiles and extra self confidence. The car is an original California car with a 136 VIN number, so it’s not some swapped out little 6cyl trying to be a big boy. The car has a fresh 396ci with a turbo 400 transmission that is also new ( I have the receipts for both). The paint is only a couple years old and is in beautiful shape. The interior is mostly new and in very good condition. The car was originally equipped with A/C but there is no compressor in right now. The car starts up fist time every time and idles beautifully. But just the slightest tap on the accelerator will turn the tires to liquid rubber, and then again when it hits second gear. I take this car to local car shows on a weakly basis, but you could use it as a daily driver (even though it would break my heart). I was going to give this to my 26 year old son, but when he said he could use it to hall his motorbike I changed my mind! Take one look at the bed of the truck and you can see it wasn’t used for hauling…it’s a show car. You spend your Sundays with a diaper in one hand and wax in the other.
