( Confirm at your DMV for peace of mind - this is true) On Oct-16-08 at 19:09:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I'd like to clarify a few things about this El Camino that I thought would be discovered upon looking at the extensive photos and videos that I have shown - and also answer some question that a few of you have had. * I do not want the buyer to drive off with this El Camino. This car will soon be 45 years old and clearly is in need of restoration. My videos show that some fun was had with it this summer on some country roads. It turned, accelerated, and stopped just fine - but I would not get on a freeway with it until I fixed the floor and went over everything to make sure it is 100% safe. Bring a trailer or dolly. Or buy my trailer with it - (see below) * The 44 photos that are displayed has shown (to most) that this El Camino has rust holes in the floor and frame. Some spots by the door and behind the cab need attention. Depending on your talents, this may straight forward repairs or difficult. www.elcaminostore.com has some body repair panels that I though were inexpensive. * I went to start it today and found that the key was misplaced. There were no teeth on it anyway. It was basically a brass stick. The engine is good and so is the transmission. I mentioned earlier that the engine idles high and will need and new carburator. * I am firm about the pick up and payment timetable. With all respect I say - no exceptions and no excuses. If I know the eBay market right now, this El Camino will sell for the value of the tailgate - do the right thing an honor your bid and honor the conditions. No free storage. * The inner bed is excellent for the age and so is the dash. The glass is good. This El Camino was in Long Island, NY for most of it's life, and was owned by a police officer at 3 different times in it's life. * I have a car / equipment trailer that it is sitting on right now. It is a dual axle, eight and a half ton capacity trailer with a ball hitch that I will sell for $950. It is not included in this auction.
