Description
This 1993 Ford F150 Pick up truck has a nice contractor’s cap with ladder rack and shelves that fold out from inside of the storage areas that are on each side of the cap, over the bed of the truck. This F150 has a large bed area, two gas tanks for extra fuel storage, and a 4.0L V6 engine. This vehicle currently does not have a battery in it, but when a battery is connected, the engine fires right up. The vehicle must be towed from our police impound lot as the brakes are very bad and it can not be safely driven on the road at this time. The gear shifter is not working correctly and is very loose. You must try to find the drive, reverse etc. by keeping your foot on the gas and putting the shifter in motion. This vehicle will need some work, and would be good to strip for parts. The cap alone is worth more than we are asking for the vehicle. The vehicle will be sold as it is and we will not sell the parts off of it separately. The vehicle will go to the highest bidder at the end of the auction so please do not call or email and make any offers for the vehicle. If the vehicle does not sell on the first auction, it will be relisted on Ebay. This vehicle is sold “as is” with no warranty. It was seized following an arrest.

This Ford F150 is not in great shape, but with some work it could be a good truck. This Pick up truck has a nice contractors cap with ladder rack and shelves that fold out from inside of the storage areas that are each side of the cap. The vehicles interior is dirty and the 4x4 gear shifter is missing so you can not activate the 4 wheel drive feature. The power doors do not work, but the power windows do. There is a tear in the driver’s seat and the driver’s door plastic surrounding the power window features has a piece broken off. There is an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with remote, as well as two kicker boxes (amps) behind the driver’s seat. The knob for the headlamps is missing. The vehicles exterior has several areas of rust to include, but are not limited to: around the four wheel wells, both driver and passenger door bottoms and the tailgate. There are steel bumpers on the front and rear of the vehicle and a nice 2” ball hitch for towing. The tailgate is stuck and will not fold down at this time and there is a dent in the rear quarter panel on the passenger side, behind the rear wheel area. The vehicle will be sold as it is and we will not sell the parts off of it separately. The vehicle will go to the highest bidder at the end of the auction so please do not call or email and make any offers for the vehicle. Fee and Tax Information: Deposit of five hundred dollars must be paid within seven days of the close of the auction. The payment must be either cashiers check or money order paid to "The Village of Carol Stream".
Winning bidder must contact seller within two business days from the close of auction to make arrangements for payment and pickup. Business hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If the winning bidder makes no contact within five business days, the seller reserves the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or dispose of it at our discretion. A certified or cashier’s check for five hundred dollars must be sent as a deposit within seven days of the auction’s close. Under Municipal Disposal guidelines the seller is not able to offer a “Buy It Now” price. Winning bidder is required to have proper registration and proof of insurance on the vehicle before the seller will allow the vehicle to be driven away. If the vehicle is being towed or removed on a trailer, the insurance and registration requirement will be waived. Final payment and vehicle pickup are due no later than 14 days from close of the auction, unless mutually agreed upon for an extension. Payment will be accepted in the form of cashier’s check or money order. No credit cards or personal checks will be accepted. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping arrangements for the vehicle. If the vehicle is not picked up within 14 days or the agreed upon time frame, the seller reserves the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or dispose of it at our discretion. The vehicle is being sold in “as-is” condition. The seller offers no guarantees or warranties against any current or future mechanical problems or vehicle condition. The buyer assumes all risks for the vehicle. The seller will describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. Note: The vehicle was either privately owned and awarded to the seller after a seizure, so the seller is not able to certify the vehicle’s condition, or it was a municipal vehicle previously used by the Village of Carol Stream. The seller reserves the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
