Hello, I am “Clifford” – the Big Red One. Features:
· 6.9L Diesel; 4spd Manual Trans. 17 MPG.
· 227,000 miles. 2 new batteries (August 08).
· New tires in 2006 (5,000 miles).
· New transmission in 2001 (20,000 miles).
· New (rebuilt) engine in 1998; has about 50,000 miles on it.
· Body re-done in 1997.
· Boss Plow mount is 2001. Hand-held control. PLOW NOT INCLUDED IN TRUCK PRICE.
o Plow is 8 foot straight blade. If you want the plow too, add $3900.00
· Spare tire; Several spare parts including new set of Brake Shoes and Pads; Shop Manuals
· Block heater
I have a few issues:
· Brakes are a little slow. Front cylinders could be flushed and cleaned.
· Needs new Clutch Pedal Ignition Lock Switch – WARNING - TRUCK WILL START WITH CLUTCH OUT
o This part can be purchased for $65 if desired.
· DO NOT USE PARKING BRAKE – it may not release. Has not been used for many years.
· Heater is on Hot. Cable end is broken off the control-lever in dash.
· Rear fuel tank filler vent is kinked – very hard to fill rear tank. Have not used for several years.
· Fuel guage reads low (always has).
· Tachometer sometimes is intermittent – connection to tach-sender can be loose. · Might need new wiper motor.
· Should be plugged in to start if colder than 20 above
I am a very mechanically sound truck, with many years of service left.
