UP FOR AUCTION IS MY BABY, A 1952 FORD F1 RATROD. I BUILT THIS TRUCK FROM THE GROUND UP. THERE IS NOTHING ON THIS TRUCK THAT HASNT BEEN GONE THROUGH. WHERE TO START? I HAVE ALL RECEIPTS FOR ALL THE PARTS AND WORK THAT WAS DONE.
CHASSIS: FRONT CLIP IS FROM A 1969 NOVA. MID SECTION IS 1952 FORD F1. REAR END IS A GM 12 BOLT FROM A 1969 NOVA. FRAME WAS SHORTENED 11 INCHES IN REAR.
BRAKES: 1969 CHEVY NOVA DRUM BRAKES. NOT POWER. EVERYTHING IS NEW. DRUMS, SHOES, SPRING KIT, TWO WHEEL CYLINDERS THE OTHER TWO I REBUILT. ALL LINES ARE NEW. MASTER CYLINDER IS NEW AS WELL.
ENGINE: 1969 CHEVY V8 ORIGINAL 350 HORSE 327. JASPER CRATE ENGINE . IT HAS A 470 LIFT COMP HYDRAULIC CAM. WEIAND TUNNEL RAM WITH TWO HOLLEY CARBS. CARBS WERE JUST REBUILT AND JETTED DOWN FROM 650 CFM TO 450 CFM. EVERYTHING ON THE ENGINE IS NEW. DISTIBUTOR IS NEW (POINTS) MSD II COIL. HEADERS.
WIRING: WIRING HARNESS IS A REBEL 9-3 HARNESS SO THERE IS LOTS OF EXTRAS COMING OFF THE FUSEBLOCK FOR THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO ADD.
BODY: CAB AND BED ARE 1952 FORD F1. WHEN I GOT THIS TRUCK IT WAS A COMPLETE TRUCK IN GREAT SHAPE. I CHOPPED THE TOP 6 INCHES, CHANNELED THE CAB 6 INCHES AND SHORTENED THE BED 11 INCHES. INSIDE THE CAB IS PRETTY COMFORTABLE. THE STEERING COLUMN IS A 69 NOVA TILT. THE SHIFTER WAS MANUFACTURED BY ME AND HAS A GERNADE ON TOP. IT HAS A FRONT WINDOW BUT NO SIDE OR REAR WINDOWS. YOU CAN GET A REAR WINDOW FOR ABOUT $40 AT A GLASS PLACE. FRONT GRILL IS A 30-40s INTERNATIONAL PICKUP. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE PETERBUILTS THE TAILLIGHTS ARE 40s PICKUP. THE BODY IS ONE OF THE MOST SOLID BODIES I HAVE SEEN.
THE NEEDS: THE CARBS NEED SYNCHRONIZED. IT RUNS GOOD BUT LOADS UP A BIT AFTER A WHILE. I HAVE ALWAYS RAN IT OPEN HEADER SO THERE IS NO EXHAUST. BRAKES ARE ALL NEW AND WORK BUT NEED TO BE BLED. I SAY THIS JUST TO BE HONEST I DONT WANT TO MIS-LEAD ANYONE. TIRES ARE ORIGINAL FIRESTONES. YOU CANT EVEN GET THEM ANYMORE. THE FRONT PASSENGERS TIRE GOES DOWN AFTER ABOUT A WEEK. YOU WILL GET A SET OF TIRES THAT GO WITH THE TRUCK AS BACKUPS. THEY ARE NOT WHITEWALLS BUT ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE WHEELS ARE ORIGINAL 50'S 14INCH STEEL WHEELS. I HAVE APPLIED FOR A VIN NUMBER FOR THE TRUCK. IT SHOULD BE HERE ANYDAY. THAT BEING SAID IT DOSENT HAVE A TITLE YET. WHEN I GET THE VIN I HAVE TO APPLY FOR THE TITLE SO I CAN HAVE IT IN A MONTH. YOU WILL GET A BILL OF SALE AND A POWER OF ATTORNEY AT THE TIME OF PICKUP SO IF I WERE TO TURN INTO A DIRTBAG YOU CAN TAKE THE POWER OF ATTORNEY AND GET THE TITLE YOURSELF. OR YOU COULD APPLY FOR A ASSEMBLED VEHICLE TITLE YOURSELF IN YOUR STATE WITH ALL THE RECEIPTS YOU WILL GET WITH THE TRUCK. YOUR OPTION AND I AM WILL ING TO HELP THE WINNER IN ANYWAY.
