Up for auction is a 1964 Ford Ranchero Pickup Truck with factory V8 and factory 4 speed transmission. This truck runs great and shifts smooth rides nice and I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It started life in San Jose, CA with red exterior and a bench seat red interior with it's 260 Windsor small block V8 and 4 speed transmission. It now sports PPG Hot Rod Black Paint (not primer) and feature an all new interior. It gets thumbs up everywhere I drive it. On the electrical, the headlights, turn signals, taillights, horn, radio and heater/defroster all work. The engine features a mild cam for that rumpty rumpty sound that sounds good going to the local Cruise-Ins. Also under the hood is an Edlebrock aluminum intake with a Holley 4 barrel carb, flowing through new dual exhaust. The engine always starts right up, holds great oil pressure and doesn't smoke. Really sweet!
SOME OF THE PLUS ITEMS:
All new interior to included seat covers, carpet, sill plates, steering wheel, gauges, tachometer, Classic Sterio, kick panels with speakers, headliner, door panels, arm rests, seat belts, dash pad, and paint. Yes, those are Mustang seats and work very nice.
New windshield and wipers
New rear bumper and bolts
New Coker Wide White Wall tires
New Door weatherstripping
New Outside mirrors
Nice solid truck with very nice frame rails and steel. Bed and tailgate in good shape and operate well
SOME OF THE MINUS ITEMS:
Paint was done by a previous owner and he removed trim and could have been fixed better in my opinion, but still okay.
Heater is not hooked up to the water, but does blow correctly. May need a new heater core, but not sure as I have not hooked it up. A new core is about $25 if it needs one.
Floor pans were repaired by a previous owner and not done the way I would have done it, but they are repaired with steel. Could be redone to be better, but okay and useable as they are.
It is missing the gravel guard that goes behind the front bumper but they are now available in the aftermarket
The bed needs detailing
This is a great truck and very very fun to drive and own. Other projects force my selling as I need to fund them. I am open to cash offers to end the auction though Ebay, but I am not interested in trades.
I am requiring a $1000 dollar non refundable deposit by Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment must be completed by 7 days of auction end and funds can be by cash, wire transfer or USA verifiable bank check prior to the truck and title being released. It has an Indiana title in my name and is marked mileage exempt. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and the vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE- IS with no warrenty. If you have any questions please ask prior to bidding. You are welcome to come and inspect the truck prior to bidding, but all bids will be binding. This is a 45 year old truck and is in very good condition for it's age, but it is a vintage vehicle and not a new one. If you want one that is perfect, don't buy this one, go buy a new one instead. I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells prior to the auction end. I do think you will be happy with the truck as I am so bid with confidence.
