ONLY BID WITH INTENT TO PAY!! this would be a great canidate for a offroad or restoration project! i recieved this scout as a partial trade a long time ago i have used it for small trips to hardware store,hauling ,pushing and pulling other rigs around and it has never let me down in the 4+ years or ownership it has always fired right up.,but do to slow work i need to get more reralistic and liquidate parts and vehicles. this scout has gotten to the point that it really has just been sitting and needs a new home where it will be used or restored. it has a 345 v8, 4-speed trans with granny low, stans headers, 4" suspension lift, 3" body lift ( homemade im guessing , i would swap it out) dual exhaust, bucket seats, 40% tread 36's with 15x10 wheels, new warn hubs, and all new drum brakes front and rear ( have disc brake front available for another $125 to winner if wanted) this sale also includes replacement lenses for any cracked lights, replacement cowl piece under hood, and does include aircleaner just not shown BODY-usual rear quarter rust, good rockers,body mounts and floors, dent on pass door and some on top DRIVETRAIN-always fires right up and very strong runner, good clutch, has usual oil leaks as expected and motor has infamous ih faint lifter tic at times, it has always been there and goes away sometimes after it warms up, drives like a lifted 33 year old classic THINGS I WOULD DO IF I KEPT IT-remove or swap out body lift for quality kit $30-$40, replace gaskets on motor to seal up any oil leaks, and possibly put new weatherstriping in doors and replace suspension bushings, cut out rear fender lip rust and put fender flares in, check all brake safety issues for before regular road use, possibly swap in pwr disc brakes and run smaller tires as the 36's are gettin low on tread. i have drivin this to town several times but it has not been liscensed in a long time so there may be some items that should be checked or addressed before it became a regular street driver again.
